Leadership with a Human Touch –
A Life of Sewa in Dera Bassi

While Gurdarshan Singh is known nationwide as a leader in deep drilling technology, it is in his hometown of Dera Bassi, Punjab, where his heart and service shine the brightest. For decades, he has dedicated himself to improving the lives of people in the very place where his journey started — not for recognition, but out of deep-rooted gratitude, humility, and spiritual commitment.

Building Education from The Ground Up

He established a full-fledged school in Dera Bassi, giving local children access to quality education, many for the first time.

The school, built and supported by him, provides education at minimal cost and regularly hosts programs in science, technology, and environmental awareness.

He has donated generously to local colleges, helping upgrade infrastructure, sponsor underprivileged students, and introduce technical and vocational skill courses.

Sewa for Faith –
Strengthening Community Roots

Gurdarshan Singh has personally overseen the construction and development of Gurudwaras and temples in Dera Bassi.

He provided land, resources, and continued financial support to maintain these places of worship, ensuring they remain open, inclusive, and spiritually uplifting for all.

Regular Langar (free community meals) are organized under his guidance, reflecting his lifelong dedication to equality and seva.

Healthcare for People

His service also extends to healthcare. Gurdarshan Singh has contributed to the establishment and development of a local hospital in Dera Bassi, offering access to medical treatment for families who otherwise had limited options.

He sponsors free health camps for eye care, diabetes screening, and waterborne diseases—especially targeting the elderly and rural populations nearby.

A Philanthropist by Deed, Not Title

“Everything I’ve achieved began with the blessings of this soil. Serving Dera Bassi is not charity—it’s my duty.” – Gurdarshan Singh

His sewa comes from the heart, not for show. From supporting local festivals and youth programs to helping widows and laborers in times of need, he is always available, always giving — a living embodiment of humility and leadership.
